Stylish and tough

Here at Jack’s Glass & Security Screens, we use 6mm toughened glass set to Australian Standards. The glass will withstand heat and impacts, making our splashbacks an ideal solution for the kitchen. All splashbacks are scratch-resistant, but not scratch-proof, so care should be taken. Once installed, splashbacks are sealed with a waterproof sealant to ensure no water or food scraps will get behind your splashback.

Clear glass has a green tinge to it as it has more iron content, which will distort some colours. Low iron glass gives a more transparent look, which shows the true colour of paint chosen.

We have varying glass to choose between, and can happily advise you on the differences in detail. The types of glass we use include:

Clear Toughened – Due to more iron content, clear toughened glass will give a green tinge and not a totally true colour.

Clear Starphire – Shows the true colour.

Lactobel – This pre-painted glass comes in white, black and grey.

There are many colours to choose from within the Dulux colour range, and we also now have mirror splashbacks available.
